Culture Camp is for internationally adopted children entering second grade through high school. Culture Camp allows childrern and youth to share common adoptive experiences in daily sessions led by experienced professionals, trained in the adoption field. Culture Camp seeks to promote healthy identity formation, encourages friendships, and provides mentoring relationships.
2010 will be our 10th year for Culture Camp and this year we are really excited about our partnership with Holt International. Holt has been offering their help and support for several years but this year they will be sending counselors from their adoptee camps to assist with the programing. A nationally recognized leader in the area of international adoption, they have been offering Holt Adoptee Camps for over 20 years and have an ACA (American Camp Association) accredited program.
Culture Camp is a 3 night camp with an additional day to train the high school students who serve as Counselors in Training (CIT).
